SEEDA's Farnborough Enterprise Hub Launch - SEEDA Chairman, Jim Braithwaite; Chief Executive of the Defence Diversification Agency (DDA) and Hub Champion - Sir Donald Spiers, will launch Europe's first dedicated Aerospace and Defence Enterprise Hub. Based in the Cody Technology Park, Farnborough, the 'hatchery' for fledgling and start up companies will join the virtual network of 20 SEEDA Enterprise Hubs. The Hub aims to increase the survival rate of young companies and is linked to the University of Surrey.

The Defence Diversification Agency (DDA) is running one of its popular

seminar and networking events to help companies understand how to do

business with the MOD.  Speakers from the DDA will explain how companies can

get access to defence technology solutions to innovate and capitalise on new

commercial opportunities. And MOD speakers will explain what the MOD buys,

how its purchasing processes work, and how companies can get involved in

defence research and technology programmes.  The talks will be followed by

opportunities for questions and networking, and light refreshments will be

served.

 

The DDA is a part of the MOD, and promotes the cross-fertilisation of

technology between industry and defence, to the benefit of both.
